41% of Americans are idiots.

Jesus will return by 2050, say 40pc of Americans - Telegraph:
"• 68 per cent of those under 30 predict a world war by 2050.
• Nearly three-quarters, or 74 per cent, of those polled believe it likely that "most of our energy will come from sources other than coal, oil, and gas".

"How was your trip through time?"

"Where White Man Went Wrong" - Ha.

This simply won't end well.

Understanding politicians - "I possess a sort of sociopathic narcissism that makes me think I should be in charge of everyone..."

Funny stuff.

Of course they did - "CIA Officials Admit To Faking Bin Laden Video."

Former CIA Officials Admit To Faking Bin Laden Video | Disinformation:
"Two former CIA officials have admitted to creating a fake video in which intelligence officers dressed up as Osama Bin Laden and his cronies in an effort to defame the terrorist leader throughout the middle east.

The details are outlined in a Washington Post article by investigative reporter and former Army Intelligence case officer Jeff Stein...

That idea, along with faking Iraqi news bulletins, never came to fruition according to the former CIA officials, because agreement on the projects could not be reached between the Iraq Group and CIA’s Office of Technical Services..."
Suuuure they didn't. More...
"The former officials told Stein that the project was taken over by the military after it ground to a halt...

“The military took them over,” said one. “They had assets in psy-war down at Ft. Bragg,” at the army’s special warfare center.

...Could the CIA group of “dark skinned actors” have been behind the infamous December 2001 “Fat nosed” Bin Laden video, that was magically found in a house in Jalalabad after anti-Taliban forces moved in?…"

"In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love." - not quite.

"In the Spring - rainy season in Japan - a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love."

Funny, in the last week or so I can't have helped but notice how my kids are all flirty with one another.

Trucking back from the bank I spied a couple of my Jr High kids sitting together on the far side of the building under the stairs, where no one could see them, full in the throws of youthful flirtation.  The young lady even had the decency to turn all red faced when she saw that I saw them.  And this did nothing but confirm that the 'uber-cool nice' girls are invariably attracted to the 'bad boys,' culture and nation be damned.

And at elementary school one of my fave kids was all teasing, poking and joking with one of the cute girls in his class.  8 kinds of adorable, actually.

Insomnia/Procrastination/Sore Throat&Cough/Denial/Junk Food/Alcohol/Laziness... not my best week.

Let's see if I can improve on that this week.

Watched this week.

Chuck S3 - continued awesomeness.  The three leads are great.  Brandon Routh, while I wasn't the biggest fan of the Superman Returns flick, is pretty damn good on this show.  Mark Sheppard shows up for a great cameo.  However, Ellie, the sister, remains one of TV's most annoyingly clingy/whiny characters.

TUF, Burn Notice, Doctor Who, The Boondocks, The Daily Show, Lie to Me

How I Met Your Mother S2 & 3 - NPH and Alyson Hannigan are great, the show seems to be a refuge for Whedonverse actors [Morena Baccarin & Alexis Denisof] and when it decides to be funny, instead of trying to make some 'serious' commentary on relationships, it's really quite, quite good.  Became a true fan with the insane Asian gambling game in S2/Ep 8 + Wayne Brady as Barney's gay, black brother.  Plus 'slap bet' is a genius idea.

NewsRadio S4&5 - surreal, funny, witty, awesome.

Girl forced to apologize for her own rape in church -- more of that healing power of religion.

Evil.

Alleged Rape Victim Tina Anderson Accuses Trinity Baptist Church Deacon Ernest Willis of Abuse - ABC News:
"Tina Anderson was only 15 when she said she was forced to stand terrified before her entire Baptist congregation to confess her 'sin' -- she had become pregnant. What she wasn't allowed to tell the group was that the pregnancy was the result of being raped by a church deacon, a man twice her age."
